House Rules
The truth is, there aren’t many and it’s all common sense.
Age of Admission
You have to be 16 or over to come on site.
Standards of Behaviour
We expect all clients to behave in a manner that contributes towards maintaining Alwalton Hall as a relaxed, comfortable, and safe environment. The management reserves the right to remove any client who is disruptive or abusive to staff or other clients and will seek legal remedy in extreme cases.
Payments, Cancellations, No Shows
We require 7 working days’ notice for cancellations of treatment packages.
For treatments or hair appointments we require a minimum of 48 hours notice of cancellation for appointments scheduled for Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays.
For Tuesday appointments we require notice of cancellation before 2pm on the preceding Saturday. This is simply because we are closed on Sundays and Mondays and would otherwise be unable to alert your therapist(s) or another client that the appointment is now available until the day itself.
Our policy is to request full payment up front for all treatment package bookings including all “treatment plus food” bookings.
For non-package bookings (treatments, hair appointments) a non-refundable deposit of 25% is payable on booking and the balance on departure.
In the event that you fail to give sufficient notice of cancellation or simply don’t arrive you will be charged the full amount for the appointment(s). If you choose to book again with us we will normally ask for pre-payment when you next book. This requirement is removed once normal attendance is re-established.
Illegal Substances
All illegal substances are banned from Alwalton Hall and its grounds.
Smoking
Smokers are welcome at Alwalton Hall. However, smoking is prohibited inside the building. Smokers are respectfully requested to smoke outside well away from other clients (unless they are joined by choice), dispose of ash, butts and matches in the outdoor ashtrays, and discarded packaging in one of the waste bins.
Treatments
All clients must complete the Consent form before their first treatment at Alwalton Hall and we will need a fresh one every twelve months.
If you’re having a Tint, you’ll need to take a patch test at least 48 hours before – we’ll remind you when you book.
If a Therapist believes there are contra-indicators regarding the suitability of any treatment they are not permitted to provide it. Of course they’ll offer an alternative if at all possible.
Health Advice
Alwalton Hall is not a medical centre and our staff are not trained medical practitioners. If you have had, or are suffering from, ill health, severe allergies, or a particular medical condition, we urge you to speak with your doctor prior to arrival to satisfy yourself that your intended treatments or packages are suitable. In some instances we may require written confirmation from your doctor.
Access and Mobility
Arriving somewhere and finding you can’t get to the bit you want can be disappointing, so let’s talk it through first. If you have any special access or mobility requirements, you must call us to discuss your needs prior to making an appointment.
Food and Drink
You may not bring food or drink to consume on the premises or in the grounds. Basic refreshments are provided free of charge, there is an interesting drinks menu, wine list, and cocktail menu. If you are booking a treatment, treatment package, or hair appointment you may also wish to book in for a meal in the dining room. We regret that the kitchen cannot accommodate walk-ins or food-only bookings.
