Food and Drink
Lunch, Afternoon Tea, and Elevenses at Alwalton Hall
When you think about food at beauty and wellness centre, you could be forgiven for thinking “lettuce leaf” or “hungry” or even “where’s the nearest take-away?” Well not here at Alwalton Hall. We want you to relax, be comfortable, and enjoy every part of your visit. Especially what you eat and drink.
Online booking is available for treatments only and is not available for pamper packages or dining bookings. Please phone 01733 391166.
Please note that consumption of your own food and beverages on site is against the House Rules.
Food bookings should be made in conjunction with treatment booking as we regret we are unable to accept food-only bookings, except for regular clients by prior arrangement.
A delightful menu of assorted goodness in comfortable quantities. Beetroot carpaccio, grilled asparagus, lamb chops, trout fillet, risotto, and the Alwalton Hall kitchen garden salad to name a few stars from previous menus. And a wonderful selection of desserts, including roasted peaches, home made rhubarb and chocolate tart, Eton mess, and home made ice creams also feature from time to time. And much more besides.
Plenty to fill you up to the point of peaceful, drowsy contentment.
A proper high tea without even the slightest nod to calorie-counting. Tea is served on 3-tier serving plates with delicious home-made sandwiches; scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam; assorted macaroons; and at least 3 different kinds of cake. And of course as much tea as you can drink. If you can’t finish it all, don’t worry – we’ll box it for you to take away to eat later or share with someone at home.
When it’s a bit too late for breakfast and a bit too early for lunch. Served at 11 o’clock sharp, our Elevenses menu offers a choice of savouries including Eggs Benedict, Smoked Salmon Scrambled Eggs, Avocado Toast, or Bacon Rolls followed by a Danish pastry selection or croissants with preserves. A perfect late morning boost.
A short and approachable wine list, including Prosecco and Champagne, all by the glass or by the bottle; a range of classic cocktails and some others we’ve invented; liqueur coffees, and alcoholic hot chocolates. If you prefer to avoid alcohol then we have a selection of Belvoir fruit presses, hand-made lemonade and ginger beer, and a range of teas and coffees to tempt you with.
